McKay appoints Northland Regional Manager

Ross’s appointment brings Northland Maintenance, Northland Projects, and Channel operations together under a single regional leader, creating greater alignment across the business and strengthening collaboration between teams.

A familiar face to many within McKay, Ross has been part of the business for nearly 20 years, having joined in 2007 as a Maintenance Electrician. Throughout that time, he has progressed through a range of operational and leadership roles, including Site Supervisor and Contracts/Maintenance Manager, building extensive experience across maintenance, projects, and infrastructure delivery.

Ross has played a key role in the successful delivery of major electrical infrastructure projects and maintenance contracts throughout New Zealand. An experienced project manager and people leader, he is recognised for his practical approach, strong technical expertise, and commitment to building lasting customer relationships with both local and national clients.

Most recently, Ross managed contracts for Far North District Council, Porirua City Council and Queenstown Lakes District Council. In Northland, he has led McKay’s relationships with clients across the renewables, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors. This breadth of experience, combined with his involvement in business development, project delivery, and team leadership, has established him as a respected leader across the business.
