McKay Expands Marine Division Capabilities as a Certified Dockmate® Dealer

Dockmate

What is the Dockmate® system?

At the heart of the Dockmate® system lies cutting-edge technology designed to simplify docking procedures while enhancing safety. With its advanced wireless remote control, users can effortlessly operate their vessel’s electronic engine controls from any desired location on their boat with the system’s signal reaching up to 150 feet (50 meters). Providing convenience while ensuring that operators have a clear view of their surroundings, allowing for optimal manoeuvrability.

Known for surpassing industry safety standards, the Dockmate® system incorporates fail-safe technology, ensuring that in the event of a malfunction or signal loss, engine controls return to neutral, preventing any unintended acceleration or damage. Additionally, the wireless remote control utilises advanced encryption protocols, mitigating the risk of interference from neighbouring vessels or external factors.

McKay and Dockmate®

As certified dealers for Dockmate®, McKay’s Marine division has the expertise needed to seamlessly integrate the system into different types of vessels, ensuring smooth compatibility with existing electronic engine controls.

Most recently, McKay’s Marine division successfully integrated the Dockmate system into the electrical controls of the Valinor, a 70-foot Passage Maker berthed in the serene waters of Opua, Northland. This provided our customer with complete control of their vessel’s movements through a handheld transmitter that is waterproof and floats, providing a simple, accurate, and reliable wireless extension of the engine controls.

By leveraging the Dockmate® system, McKay are eager to enable our marine customers with the enhanced manoeuvrability and streamlined docking process that Dockmate® offers.
