McKay, operating under our Ward Chandler brand, was contracted by Heb and the Counties Manukau Pacific Trust to provide and install the essential electrical equipment for their new whitewater course at the Vodafone Events Centre.
Our work covered three major sections of the facility. The first section was the 200m short course, which included three submersible pumps, a variable speed drive (VSD), and a slider bed conveyor belt. The second section comprised the 300m long course,featuring four submersible pumps, a VSD, and a slider bed conveyor belt. The third section involved the facility’s water treatment system, which utilises a submersible pump and VSD to circulate water through the two courses, along with equipment for filtering and sterilizing the water in the system.
