Supporting Northland’s entrepreneurial landscape with The Pick ’25

Last week marked a key milestone for Northland’s entrepreneurial landscape as The Pick ’25 kicked off, welcoming nearly 70 participants into its Business Ideas Competition. This year’s programme promises to be another exciting 10-week journey, designed to empower each aspiring entrepreneur as they develop and refine their business ideas.

Throughout the competition, participants will delve deep into the essentials of launching a successful venture. From understanding their target market to crafting a solid business model, they will gain valuable insights into customer needs and competitive landscape. Workshops will cover crucial elements such as formulating a compelling value proposition, mastering financial management, and assembling a winning team – all vital components for transforming a vision into reality.

One of the highlights of the program is the emphasis on practical skills. Participants will engage in pitching workshops, networking opportunities, and sessions focused on securing investment, equipping them with the confidence and tools necessary to navigate the entrepreneurial journey ahead.

Towards the end of the competition, finalists will be selected to pitch to a panel of Northland business leaders, and the winner will take home a tailored support package to help them take their business to the next level.
