Join the McKay team as we enter an exciting phase of the New Zealand International Convention Centre project. This is your chance to be part of the team that is responsible for one of the biggest commercial builds in Auckland’s history.

As a Supervisor you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager to achieve the Health and Safety, Project Schedule, Quality and Cost objectives of the Project.

 

This will mean that you will be involved with:

  • Project Plan – reviewing assigned work packs and;
    • Developing efficient work methodologies
    • Conducting job safety and environmental analysis and identifying controls to minimise risks
    • Organising labour and coordinating work with other trades
  • Project Control
    • Scheduling work in conjunction with Project Manager and ensuring labour hours are charged correctly
    • Placing small material orders and receiving and organising materials onsite for work packs
    • Organising job specific PPE and tools
    • Ensuring sound Health & Safety practices are adhered to
    • Inspecting and monitoring work as it progresses to ensure early intervention against non-compliance with Client’s specifications and/or drawings
    • Assessing and reporting back on work pack progress each week
    • Adjusting work methodologies to improve efficiency whenever possible
    • Leading verification of installations (inspection and testing), documentation and signing certificates of compliance

Aside from the obvious technical requirements, you will also need:

  • Sound commitment to ensuring Health and Safety is prioritised
  • A valid full NZ driver’s license
  • To be self-motivated and proactive
