Streetlighting

McKay has developed specialist skills in streetlighting maintenance and currently holds contracts with:

• Whangarei District Council
• Waikato District Council
• Hamilton City Council
• South Waikato District Council.

McKay staff are fully conversant with the systems that asset owners use for street light maintenance. Our staff are fully trained with the use of the RAMM and SLIM system. Our technicians use Pocket PCs to input data directly into RAMM. Similarly we have a balance of registered electricians and registered linesman, to deal with the variety of faults encountered on streetlights.
McKay owns specialist equipment for this work including:

• 3 x elevated platform trucks with 15m reach
• 1 x 6 ton crane truck
• 1 x 21m JLG all terrain platform lifter
• 1 x 'Ditchwitch' cable trencher
• Cable locators and test equipment
