Fonterra, New Zealand’s largest company and biggest exporter, has worked with McKay on a number of projects in the company’s continuous maintenance and upgrades.  Here are three of the most recent ones.

Fonterra Maungaturoto Re-Automation Project

McKay worked alongside Fonterra in the re-automation project on its Maungaturoto site north of Auckland.  We installed new MCCs, new power and motor cabling and cable racking, new power distribution boards, new PLC panels, and cabling to field devices. The 4 month project was completed in July 2009

Fonterra Edgecumbe Whey Products

McKay’s installation and cabling of a control system on Fonterra’s Bay of Plenty Edgecumbe site assisted in the upgrade from a legacy PLC, to a modern Rockwell ControLogix PLC for Fonterra's Edgecumbe site.  

Fonterra Kauri

We provided electrical and control installation of new bag handling system at the Fonterra Kauri plant. The new bag handling system is used to package milk powder more efficiently.
